Temperature Converter

Convert temperatures between Celsius, Fahrenheit, kelvin and Rankine.

Values below absolute zero are not supported.

How to use this tool

Enter a temperature, select the source and target scales, then convert.

Important to know

Convert temperatures between Celsius, Fahrenheit, kelvin and Rankine.

Temperature scales require an offset as well as a factor. Inputs below absolute zero are rejected. Kelvin is written K, not °K.

Formula and methodology

K = °C + 273.15; K = (°F + 459.67) × 5/9; °R = K × 9/5.

Example

0 °C equals 32 °F and 273.15 K.

Frequently asked questions
