Pressure Converter

Convert pressure between pascals, kilopascals, bar, psi and standard atmospheres.

How to use this tool

Enter a pressure and select its source and target units.

Important to know

Convert pressure between pascals, kilopascals, bar, psi and standard atmospheres.

Use the same pressure reference on both sides: gauge and absolute pressure cannot be interchanged by unit conversion alone. Negative values can represent gauge pressure.

Formula and methodology

1 kPa = 1,000 Pa; 1 bar = 100,000 Pa; 1 standard atmosphere = 101,325 Pa; 1 psi ≈ 6,894.757293168 Pa.

Example

1 bar equals 100 kPa.

Frequently asked questions

Does this change gauge pressure into absolute pressure?

No. That calculation needs local atmospheric pressure in addition to a unit conversion.
