Days Calculator

Count the signed number of days between two calendar dates.

The start is excluded. The result can be negative if the end is earlier.

How to use this tool

Choose a start date and an end date, then select Calculate. The start date is not counted as a completed day.

Important to know

Count the signed number of days between two calendar dates.

Dates are interpreted as UTC calendar dates. Reverse the dates to see a negative result. This is elapsed days, not business days.

Formula and methodology

Days = (end date at 00:00 UTC − start date at 00:00 UTC) ÷ 86,400 seconds.

Example

From 1 January to 11 January there are 10 elapsed days.
